Renewing your photocard driving licence

Photocard driving licences were first introduced to the UK in July 1998. Now thousands of motorists are at risk of being fined up to £1000 because they don't realise that it actually expires after ten years and must be renewed. The cost to update your photocard is £17.50 (which, according to an article in the Daily Mail, will earn the Treasury an estimated £437 million over 25 years). Read more... added - 18 February 2009
